“You’re so sexy!”, “You’re so da*n hot!”, these two are just some of the phrases, girls really love to hear.
Everyone loves summer so everyone is planning to go to the beach and to make it complete, wearing sexy swimsuits will be the top of the list. Everyone is excited to show their beautiful bodies, take some selfies and post them in facebook.
I honestly felt good hearing compliments from my friends whenever i wear two-piece swimsuit until i’ve seen the video of Ms. Jessica Rey about “modesty” which entitled “The Evolution of the Swimsuit”.
I am not forcing anyone to start practicing modesty, it’s still up to you and we have our own perceptions. Some people believed that it is the proper attire for swimming and some say “if you have it, then flaunt it”. Therefore, i don’t have the intention to disrespect others’ beliefs. Since Ms. Jessica Rey have discussed everything about modesty, i just want to emphasize three (3) main reasons why girls must stop wearing two-piece swimsuit.
1. To Gain Respect. It is undeniable that when you flaunt your skin, guys can’t take off their eyes from you. Some guys may appreciate you but most guys will be provoked to have a sexual desire on you.
I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes.(1 Timothy 2:9)
2. Your Body Belongs To God. God created us according to His purpose which is to serve Him. Women are not created to be a source of lust, therefore, we must take care of our decency and dignity as a woman.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
3. To Help Guys Not To Sin. It should be a win-win situation. As a woman of God, it feels good that guys will not only respect you but at the same time, you are not giving them the reason to fall into temptation or sin.
Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God. (1 Corinthians 10:32)
To dress modestly does not require you to wear a long dress or a long sleeves, you can still be classy even with less skin exposure like Audrey Hepburn.

Yes, you are skinny and you have the curves that not everyone has, you don’t need to be proud of it, you can be beautiful inside and that is more important. Better to be careful of posting your photos in social media, because you will never know that one day, your photos might be uploaded in a pornographic site. Remember that “less is more, more is less”.
Reblogged this on H O L Y P E C U L I A R and commented:
Less is more. More is less. 🙂 well said. I just to make women realize that they’re all special. That if we want to be respected, we should respect ourselves first. Don’t flaunt it but be an inspiration with others.
